As the STORMING project officially enters its last term, we gathered for the 5th Consortium Meeting on the 5th and 6th of March in Lyngby, Denmark. Hosted by our partner DTU, this two-day event provided an essential opportunity for collaboration, reporting, and strategic alignment as we move towards the successful conclusion of the project.

A Unique Setting for Innovation
We had the privilege of holding our meeting in DTU’s brand-new Climate Challenge Laboratory, a facility designed to support research and development in energy and climate technologies. The 10,000-square-meter building brings together researchers from different disciplines to drive innovation in energy storage, conversion, and sustainable materials. The facility provided an inspiring space for discussions on hydrogen technologies and industrial decarbonisation strategies.

Collaboration Across Europe
Representatives from 10 partner organisations across Europe came together to discuss the status of their work, share challenges, and exchange best practices. The meeting included dedicated reporting sessions from the six work packages that make up the STORMING project, ensuring that all aspects of our research and implementation remain well-coordinated and aligned with our objectives.

Special Highlights: Facility Tour and Click Chemistry Lecture
Beyond the structured discussions, onsite participants had the chance to explore DTU’s facilities, gaining insights into their state-of-the-art research infrastructure. A particular highlight of the event was the opportunity to attend a lecture by Nobel Laureate Morten Meldal on click chemistry, an innovative approach with significant implications for industrial and sustainable chemistry applications.
Looking Ahead: Final Consortium Meeting and Public Event
While this meeting marked a crucial milestone, an even more significant occasion lies ahead. The 6th and final Consortium Meeting will not only bring the project to a close but will also feature a public final event, welcoming professionals from across industries and academia. This will be a unique opportunity for external stakeholders to engage with STORMING’s results and explore the potential impact of our work.
Stay tuned for further details on the final event, and don’t miss the chance to be part of the conversation on the future of hydrogen-based industrial innovation!
